The Bald Guys: How It All Started

Like most great ideas, ours began with three mates taking the mick out of each other in a WhatsApp group.

We’d known each other for years — old uni friends who’d been through dodgy haircuts, even dodgier dating choices, and eventually... the slow, cruel retreat of the hairline. First it was a receding fringe, then a suspicious bald patch, and before long, we were all doing that awkward thing where you either cling on for dear life or start Googling "best hats for thinning hair".

We tried the usual fixes — miracle shampoos, caffeine sprays, one of us even tried a wig (never again). But at some point we just thought: Why are we trying to fight this?

Bald wasn’t the problem. It was how the world saw it. And more importantly, how we were made to feel about it.

But there was one thing that really drove us mad — the shine. You finally embrace being bald, go full dome, only to look in the mirror and see your head reflecting light like a disco ball. Every photo? Glare. Every Zoom call? Blinding. We all joked about carrying a microfibre cloth around just to buff down our foreheads.

So we decided to fix it — properly. That’s where our Anti-Shine Gel came in. A clean, effective way to keep your head looking smooth, not sweaty. No weird chemicals, no sticky nonsense — just something that works. Simple as that.

And that’s really what The Bald Guys is all about. Not just one AMAZING product, but a whole line of proper grooming essentials made for the bald lifestyle —we are ambitious and have plans for innovative products in head care, skincare, sun protection, beard balms, and of course, shine control.

More than products, it’s a mindset. A bit of rebellion against all the hair-loss shame and a celebration of owning who you are — scalp and all.
